International Whisk(e)y Day falls on March 27, every year. It was first announced in 2008. The name is used with parenthesis to celebrate both Scottish, Canadian, and Japanese whiskies which have no e in it as well as Irish and American whiskeys. International Whiskey Day was started in the year 2009 at the Whiskey Day Festival in the presence of famous whiskey writers. Participants are encouraged to raise one up on the day and drink whiskey for the love of the drink. Others participated via social media using the #whiskyday2015.

Fusion Single MaltFusion Single Malt is produced by Amrut distillers. Fusion Single Malt is heavy, thickly oaked and complex. There is a slight struggle as the mouthfeel gets a bit puffy due to the dry peat and oak. It has enough molasses sweetness to see the malt through to a satisfying end, though. |

Single MaltSingle Malt is produced by Amrut Distilleries. Single Malt has distinctly confidant liquorice-bourbon notes with near perfect bitter-sweet balance which is honeycomb and toffee flavour. It has outstanding richness and sheen to the enormous barley-oak sweetness again. There is a big bourbon cut to the cloth with all the liquorice and molasses sugar normally associated, but the barley adds that extra dimension. It has long, wonderfully layered oak offering variations of a sweet dry theme finish. |

It is then finished in once-used French oak Chardonnay barrels for 6 months, before blending it with a touch of American Single-Malt Barley Whisky from their warehouse. This extra hint of Barley adds a rich and chocolatey flavour. |

The chocolate and smoky flavour from the stout comes over through the distillation process. It is then matured in American oak barrels to impart the colour and Caramel/Vanilla notes.
