John B 10 Year Old Single Malt is a cask strength organic certified single malt whiskey created especially for the whisky connoisseur. It is strong and has a pronounced flavor. This whiskey is also made from certified organic barley malt grown in the Netherlands. The whiskey is aged in American white oak barrels for ten years (Quercus alba).

Scores provided to each of the spirits are based on the judging criteria mentioned below: 

To win a USA Spirits Ratings award, you must score highly in all three areas of our judging criteria. That is why the USA spirits Ratings will be decided based on the following judging formula: Q (Quality Score) + Value Score (V) + Package Score (P) = USA Spirits Ratings Score.

Quality Score: A score out of 100 will be given.

Value Score: A score out of 100 will be given.

Package Score: A rating out of 100 will be given.

Each of the three categories will receive a unique weighted score during the judging process (Quality gets twice the weight).

Gold: A score of 90 or higher is required to obtain a Gold medal.

Silver: a score of 80 to 89 is required.

Bronze: a score of between 70 and 79 is required.

This year at USA Spirits Ratings, the esteemed panel of judges evaluated more than 800 different spirits from across the globe, with some new ones on the block and some old favorites. The judging took place on the 24th of July in South San Francisco.
