Ireland’s Dingle vodka takes home a Gold with 94 points, Vodka of the Year, and Best in Show By Country Category at the 2022 USA Spirits Ratings, held on July 24 in San Francisco, USA.
Dingle vodka is a premium, neutral grain spirit that tastes just as excellent when neat as it does in a cocktail. It has a creamy texture with a hint of sweetness. Dingle offers an unmatched atmosphere, buffeted by gusts from the Atlantic Ocean. The distillation of Dingle Original Vodka takes place on the western edge of Europe. The spirit is made in small batches using their hand-beaten copper still, affectionately known as Oisn, and is cut with water extracted from a well located 240 feet beneath the distillery. After being cleaned with charcoal, the finished spirit is gently filtered before being batch-numbered.
Dingle believes that many well-known vodkas are more about branding than actual quality. Thus it set out to make a vodka of the highest calibre without charging exorbitant prices. The fifth and final distillation occurs after 500 litres of the finest, purest grain alcohol has been added to the still.
