Cutwater Spirits Tequila Añejo Wins Tequila of the Year at 2022 USA Spirits Ratings

01/09/2022 Cutwater Spirits Tequila Añejo wins a Gold with 91 points and Tequila of the Year at the 2022 USA Spirits Ratings, held on July 24 in San Francisco, USA.

Cutwater Spirits Añejo is produced in Tequila, Mexico, using only blue agave that has been double distilled in "alambique" stills made of copper and stainless steel after being open fermented for several days. Then, they transfer the barrels of Cutwater whiskey from our San Diego distillery to Jalisco, where the spirit is rested. Their Añejo is revealed after more than a year of age with complex aromas of wood, caramel, and bourbon vanilla. a. After then, it is bottled in Jalisco, where the label displays a skull of a Rayador (a Black Skimmer sea bird). The illustration nods to the Cutwater name and traditional Mexican folk art.
